TELL ME: Do you have content batched and ready to go for when you're too busy to write on the fly?!

Over the years, I’ve tried a ton of different content batching methods… and as someone who’s probably neuro-divergent (or just an overwhelmed mom with a brain that thrives on re-systematizing everything), I’m always refining my process to make it easier and more efficient.

Simplicity really is the name of the game—and I think you’re going to be mind-blown by this.

Recently, I discovered a ridiculously easy system for batching content that’s been a total game-changer. I can’t believe I didn’t try this before!

Here’s the Problem:

Even if you use a great content scheduling tool like Later (which I love, btw!), it still takes time to design, write, and schedule posts all in one go.

And let’s face it—some days, you don’t have the bandwidth to complete every step of the process in one sitting.

So what do you do when you have an idea, or part of a post, or maybe even the graphics ready to go… but it’s not all polished and ready to post?

The Hack:

Here’s what I’ve been doing lately, and it’s so simple you’ll wonder why you haven’t tried it too:

1️⃣ Open Canva and create a folder for your social media content bank. Inside that folder, you can organize by months, content types, or content pillars—whatever works best for you.

2️⃣ Create a design (use 4:5 vertical dimensions for Instagram; square posts are out—vertical posts take up more space in the feed!).

3️⃣ When you have an idea for a post, use the first slide of your design to take notes on the concept, message, or key points.

4️⃣ Once you’ve designed the post (whether it’s a single image or a carousel), move the notes slide to the end of the stack and “hide” it so it doesn’t download with the final design.

5️⃣ Add the caption as a comment on the top slide. This way, everything is stored in one place—your graphics and captions stay together, even if you don’t finish both at the same time!
